Reviewer Recruitment
Updated April 2026
Strong research depends on strong peer review.
ResearchNB is seeking experienced and qualified reviewers from across Canada to serve as peer and expert reviewers and help advance innovative research. By contributing your expertise, you’ll support the research community and — in the spirit of paying it forward — help ensure the strongest ideas move forward.
Review eligibility & qualifications
Reviewers must have at least a Master’s degree and expertise in one or more of ResearchNB’s priority sectors, enabling sectors, and funding pillars. We will only accept reviewers located in New Brunswick if they are not employed by or affiliated with any of our eligible institutions.
Onboarding and Training Process
Prior to beginning any reviews, reviewers are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Reviewers Code of Conduct. Reviewers are also encouraged to complete the Tri-Council training modules and ResearchNB training materials.
Stipend Information
Reviewers are financially reimbursed, with rates based on the volume, length, and complexity of applications. In addition, ResearchNB offers incentives to recognize reviewers’ contributions in advancing research in New Brunswick. The incentive package is determined based on the number of applications reviewed within a year.
How to Apply
If you’re interested in serving as a reviewer for ResearchNB, please send an email to researchservices@researchnb.ca and include the completed Expression of Interest Form as well as your CV.
