SUMMARY:Atlantic BioCon 2025
DESCRIPTION:Since its launch in 2012 by the ResearchNB team (with the support of Innov)\, BIOCON has grown into a leading platform for innovation\, collaboration\, and bold conversations in Canada’s bioeconomy. \nIn June 2025\, we proudly hosted the latest edition of Atlantic BIOCON at the Delta Hotel in Saint John\, New Brunswick. Over three dynamic days\, we brought together industry leaders\, researchers\, entrepreneurs\, government officials\, and students to explore the theme:“Fortifying Our Future: Security Through a Thriving Bioeconomy.” \nParticipants engaged in thought-provoking discussions and panels covering: \n\n\nClean energy and biomass \n\n\nFood security and local food systems \n\n\nForestry and carbon solutions \n\n\nOceans research and blue economy opportunities \n\n\nCircular economy innovation and upcycling \n\n\nThe event also featured: \n\n\nHands-on site tours of cutting-edge bioeconomy facilities across the region \n\n\nA vibrant tradeshow and student poster competition \n\n\nTargeted B2B meetings and networking opportunities \n\n\nA live recording of the Insights Podcast with Don Mills and David Campbell \n\n\nBIOCON 2025 celebrated the depth of Atlantic Canada’s natural assets\, the talent of its people\, and the innovation already taking root in our communities. From the forests to the fisheries\, from solid waste to clean fuels\, the message was clear: the time to unlock our region’s full potential is now. \nWe are proud of what we’ve built together — and we’re just getting started. \n📸 Relive the energy of BIOCON 2025 — CLICK HERE to explore our official photo gallery!
