We support the future of forestry in NB.

Rooted in Sustainability, Growing a Greener Future for New Brunswick's Forests

New Brunswick has Canada’s most forest-dependent economy, with 85% of its land covered by productive forests. Unlike other provinces, 30% of its forest land is privately owned, creating a unique management dynamic that requires tailored solutions. The forestry sector is deeply engaged in research, focusing on productivity improvement, forest ecology, climate change adaptation, and sustainable harvesting practices. Increasingly, precision forestry technologies are enhancing forest management, allowing for greater efficiency and sustainability.

Collaboration drives forestry research, with academia, government, and industry supporting applied studies to enhance productivity and sustainability. Funding from grants, government, and industry fosters innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.
