Summer Student Support Fund
As part of ResearchNB’s Talent Support Pillar, this program’s goal is to support the hiring of undergraduate and medical students during the summer semester (May – August) to gain experience in research lab settings by offering a salary stipend of up to $8000.
Research Professional Fund
The Research Professional Fund is a part of ResearchNB’s Talent Support pillar and its goal is to support the hiring of post graduate researchers as highly skilled personnel to work in research labs in both a research and student management capacity. The research professional will need to spend at least 50% of their time involved in research.
Research Program Bridging Fund
As part of ResearchNB’s Ideas Pillar, this funding program’s goal is to support the continuation and future success of highly meritorious research programs that have not been successful in receiving federal program-based support.
In the event that a researcher had secured a multi-year federal program based (or similar type) award, but was unsuccessful in their renewal, this program will support the year’s gap as they prepare for re-application to that federal opportunity.
Clinical Fellowships
As part of ResearchNB’s Talent Support Pillar, this program’s goal is to promote the continuity and expansion of clinical research in New Brunswick by supporting the release of qualified individuals from clinical duties to pursue research activities in healthcare-related fields, such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, or other clinical disciplines.
At least 10% of clinical time will be dedicated to the health research project proposed. This award is not a salary top-up, and no other salary award (from any granting institution) can be received for the duration of this award. This award is non-renewable.
